From classified defence to cinema screen
It all starts in Lyon, the historic textile capital. Looking for a fabric that was both light and indestructible, we discovered that automotive airbags used exactly what we were looking for.
Manufacturers told us it was classified. We were not discouraged. After months of investigation, we identified the fabric: a high-tenacity polyamide from Dupont de Nemours.
For the waterproof range, inspiration came from elsewhere: on a Hong Kong beach, watching kitesurfs. Their inflatable tubes were light, resistant, and perfectly waterproof. The technology was right there, before our eyes.
